Tammy W. Gibson is a Senior Operations Specialist for Deposit Operations with more than 35 years of experience spanning banking, church finance, administrative support, and nonprofit service. A proud Navy retiree spouse of 35 years and the mother of a beautiful daughter, Tammy grounds her professional leadership in faith, family, and a deep commitment to serving others.
In her current role, Tammy partners across Operations and multiple lines of business to assess existing and new projects, procedures, and system changes aligned with strategic initiatives and enterprise goals. She serves as the operational representative on major enterprise initiatives and acquisitions, providing critical end-user insight and process-focused guidance to promote efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Tammy is a graduate of the TowneBank Management Development Academy and the Vann H. Lefcoe Leadership Development Program.
Beyond her operational responsibilities, Tammy serves as a direct supervisor and mentor for college graduate interns in TowneBank’s LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) Program, a three-year leadership development initiative designed to prepare future leaders. She also provides oversight and guidance for Lead Associates, facilitating structured onboarding, assigning daily learning objectives, and fostering institutional knowledge transfer, operational accuracy, and enterprise-wide awareness.
Tammy is deeply committed to leadership development, community engagement, and service. She serves as Co-Chair of the DEI Working Parents and Caregivers Networking Circle, Campus Giving Campaign Leader for the Annual United Way Campaign, and Board Member and Treasurer for the Fredda Samantha Bryan Foundation. As a United Way Campus Coordinator, she has led efforts that exceeded annual giving goals, cultivating a strong culture of caring, participation, and philanthropy across the organization.
Tammy also served as Campus Lead for Bring Your Child to Work Day, coordinating an engaging, inclusive, and service-focused experience for participating families. Through hands-on activities and community service projects, she helped connect children to banking careers while reinforcing empathy, financial awareness, and the value of giving back.
Guided by her faith and passion for equipping others, Tammy remains dedicated to strengthening operational excellence, developing future leaders, and making a meaningful impact within her organization and the broader community.
